Just back from the  Hunting, Fishing, Boating and Camping show at the International Sportsman Expo (ISE) in Sacramento, Ca. where I experienced 4 days of some incredible Dutch oven cooking compliments of the C.C.D.O.A. group. That’s the “Central California Dutch oven Adventures” (CCDOA) group here in the Central California valley. We have been asked to host the Demo’s for that past few years and it is a lot of fun for all of us. The crowds were huge and the weather was perfect, low 60′s and sunny!

I was so busy (or lazy, depending on your perspective) that I only took a couple of photo’s but my good friend Ranes Carter from the International Dutch oven Society (IDOS) was there with camera at hand. He and three other fine friends made the long trip out to Sacramento from Utah to help us put on this show. Debbie Hair the current IDOS president, Brian Blodgett 2010 World champion and the ever so wonderful First Lady of Dutch oven cooking – Colleen Sloan came with Ranes to our rescue.

There are so many people to thank for putting on the event. John & Shirley, Erik & Jill, Dian & Butch, Dianna, Tracy, Ray, Larry, Uncle Bill & Lenore, Duncan & Deanna, J.R & Bonnie, Patrica and all the other who stopped by to help or say hi. You all made it so fun and easy – Thank You!!
