Grizzly Spit Portable Campfire Rotisserie Kit

Grizzly Spit Portable Campfire Rotisserie Kit

Can you smell it? Rotisserie campfire chicken or perhaps a big hunk of Prime Rib Roast slowly cooking over the fire like the old days, except you don't need to sit there and spin the rod as the meat cooks. It is a pretty picture and not a common sight around the campfire or at home, sad but true.

Rotisserie cooking or grilling has become a small use statistic, like the side burner on a grill over the years, the numbers are in the single percent digits for usage of those that have one. Rotisserie grilling numbers fall in those low numbers as well, we all get so excited to have all of those bells and whistles attached to our new grills at first, then the excitement fades and well, they just don't get used. But, let me throw out a particular fact about cooking outdoors: It's a pain in the backside to haul a grill around anywhere and use those neat toys, right! So your stuck with just that shiny new toy in your backyard when you want to do some good old fashion rotisserie cooking, until now. Now you can go camping, to a park or your backyard and have rotisserie grilled meats, vegetable, fish without the big grill or 1000 foot extension cord.

The people at Tool Wizard, the makers of the “Grizzly Spit Portable Campfire Rotisserie” can help you up your grilling recipe game anywhere at anytime with their battery operated rotisserie the Grizzly spit. They sent me a unit to try out for review and I am so excited to use this rotisserie in my fire pit this season. So excited that I set it up right away but haven't cooked anything … yet but that is coming!

First you will need to set up the rotisserie rod with the rotisserie bracket into the ground. Left or right side, doesn't matter.

Next is the opposite rotisserie rod. Place this about 30 – 34 inches from the first rod.

Your spit is 36 inches long.

That is Almond wood for those that are curious.

Once the rotisserie support rods are in place, it is easy to slide the battery operated Grizzly rotisserie onto the mounting bracket.

Note that the rotisserie support rod should be slightly lower than the other support bracket to prevent the rod from walking out of the motor slot.

The Grizzly rotisserie only requires two “D” size batteries to cook up 20 – 30 hours and rotate up to 25lbs of meat!
