Here is a quick and easy recipe for the grill! Habanero Cheddar stuffed Garlic Sausage wrapped in Bacon will be just what you need when your stumped for grilling ideas. You can put this together in just a few minutes. These were cooked on the new www.ManGrates.com that I was reviewing.
Hope you enjoy them!
1 package of Garlic Sausage
1 package of Habanero Cheddar cheese
2 – 4 strips of good smoked bacon
Slice a pocket in each sausage – don’t split it in half or cut through the bottom. Your making a pocket for the cheese. Slice the cheese into 1/4 inch wide slices and stuff them into the pocket you made. Now split the bacon in half lengthwise. Use each piece to wrap around the sausage with. I highly recommend you pin the bacon in place or it will unravel (I didn’t and it did).
Preheat your grill (charcoal or gas) to 350 – 375° F and place your sausage on the grate cheese side up! Cook for about 10 -15 minutes until bacon is done to you liking. I cooked mine at 375° F over direct heat (charcoal), I think indirect would be a better choice but experiment to see how you like yours. Direct heat will give you a crispy bottom which I liked.
